First Floor Classroom
Relevant Dates: 1903
A classroom inside Fernald's School Building, first floor, taken circa 1903. The girls are learning how to weave fabric. These activities were likely moved into the Manual Training Building when it was constructed in 1907. With so little remaining of the original room, it was rather difficult to find, however a few landmarks can be traced between the two. Newer walls, doors, and ceiling are evidenced by the condition of the paint, which readily peels from the older plaster surfaces.
