History

Constructed concurrently with Cottages 19 and 20, these two residences sit perched on a hillside near the power plant, accessible via a driveway off Chapel Road. A substantial garage is located in close proximity. Initially, the cottages served as accommodations for male staff members of the hospital. Over time, Cottage 18 transitioned to serve as the office of a dietician.

Architectural Description

These houses are two-story stucco Craftsman-style structures enclosed by gable roofs with exposed rafter ends and off-center chimneys. Enclosed entry porches with arched openings are centered on a three-bay southwest facades. A one-story sun porch extends from the left side of each. Windows contain 6/6 sash.
