History

The greenhouse was built in 1940 to assist with seed propagation for the school's farm, gardens and expansive landscaping. It was also used for day programs for the students, caring for the plants and making crafts to be sold at Greenhouse Sales. The seed propagation area resembles a typical glass-enclosed greenhouse laid out in a single, narrow corridor with a southern-facing exposure. A concrete block two-story garage is located on the west side, used for storage, workshops and office space. Concrete remnants of outdoor beds and a wooden shed are located on the building's northern site.
